About

Why we built Waste Not.

Olivia Salcedo and Laurel Rankin met in USC Marshall's Social Entrepreneurship program and spent two semesters developing Waste Not. They built it to solve one barrier: making sustainable goods available in any neighborhood, at prices anyone can afford, with the convenience they need and none of the guesswork.

Mission

To make sustainable living effortless by offering products that are better for people and the planet—thoughtfully packaged, fairly priced, and conveniently available where communities live, work, and thrive.

Vision

To create a world where waste reduction is a guiding principle—shaping consumer choices, driving corporate product design, and informing forward-thinking government policies. A world where products and packaging are free from harmful chemicals, and where our environment, ecosystems, and communities are no longer burdened by microplastics and toxins.
